Ed Sheeran Stuck with Misspelled Tattoo
Ed has revealed that his latest tattoo was a big mistake. He’s blaming his pal Saoirse Ronan for it, he asked her to hand write Galway Girl but it all went wrong. The Atonement star Saoirse – who is in the Galway Girl music video – wrote the wrong word, deliberately putting ‘Galway Grill’ G-R-I-L-L. He says she has been taking the Mickey out of him ever since.
Addressing the crowd at his Glasgow gig on Sunday night he said, “When we were filming the video, I was meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting Galway Girl from her point of view. But it actually says Galway Grill! She really took the p**s out of me – full on.”

Ed is no stranger to a tattoo. In the last year, he has spent around 40 hours in the chair and now has over 60 tattoos etched over his body. It’s also been reported that Ed is considering another 30 tattoos on his back. The 60 designs he currently has include a huge lion’s head on his chest, a teddy bear and a Heinz tomato ketchup logo.
It’s a pretty extreme practical joke but Ed Sheeran isn’t holding any grudges and has even said he was actually quite proud of her. Adding, “it’s the kind of thing I would do.”
